The Temporary Bridge Alongside The Old Town Bridge

We are looking from the western side of the river (castle side) towards the technical college. The temporary wooden bridge allowed demolition of the old bridge and construction of the new. Notice that at the time this photograph was taken outbound traffic took the temporary bridge , inbound came over the old.

The new bridge opened in 1927.
